This is a free event.

My subject matter is landscape and seascape, in particular the landscape of Co Mayo and the off shore Islands .

I enjoy creating landscapes from studies painted and sketched outside. I observe weather changes and the atmospheric cloud formations over hills and islands in clew bay.

Light conditions can be every colour combination.

I have been studying vernacular architecture in remote landscape, houses that are abandoned or partially used.

They are relics of the past, perched on hillsides with an uncertain future ..

Maybe will be homes again. maybe will crumble and fall into disrepair

These buildings are a poignant reminder of a shifting environment in a remote location.

For this exhibition I am creating works in a variety of media, including drawing media, watercolour, print , and mixed media textiles .
